How did you get into weddings?

I began photographing weddings after spending a few years working abroad as a visual artist and organizer for Museums and International Photography Festivals. After leaving the arts management field to become an independent photographer and educator, I discovered wedding photography, which brought a new excitement and enthusiasm into my creative process. As brides and grooms began to notice my creative style and proven consistency, word spread around, which has allowed me to travel and photograph couples getting married in Greece and in other countries too.

How would you describe your style?

My style is most often described as “creative documentary.” I come from a fine art and documentary background. This means I am able to photograph your day as it unfolds naturally without interfering. I put a lot of time and energy into catching your “creative portraits”, those special photos of just the two of you. I look for interesting light, angles and backgrounds, and often use unusual and experimental techniques to turn your wedding portraits into little works of art.

We wish we could meet with you, but we don’t live in Greece. Is there an alternative?

The majority of the couples I photograph hire me without an in-person meeting. I am very quick, and very thorough with emails and I am able to answer most questions that way. However, I am happy to talk with you on the phone or schedule a Skype video meeting. A lot of my out-of-town clients have done this, and it has worked for them, and for me. We can always find a time and method that works.

How do we arrange your travel?

I will book my own airfare, hotel and transportation for I know full well how hectic weddings are. You don’t have to worry about a thing.

Will you travel for engagement sessions as well?

I am happy to come to your hometown or meet you at a fabulous destination of your choice. Don’t hesitate to contact me for specific information.

Do you photograph details and family group photos?

Yes! A wedding photography narrative would not be complete without those special details and family photos. I take all the photographs you would expect a wedding photographer to take. But my goal is to also go past those expectations and give you photographs with a personal touch that will make you see and remember a lot more than anticipated.

My fiancé is uncomfortable having his picture taken. How can you help him on the wedding day?

I am a very calm, mellow person who tends to blend into the background rather than bring attention to my equipment and myself. That, combined with my documentary style, will have you both be at ease within the first half-hour of your getting-ready time, and you will (almost) forget all about me. Most couples tell me it felt like I was just one of the gang, hanging out with everyone. The only time you’ll really be aware of the camera is during the family group photo and the creative portraits, as I will be guiding you through everything. Just be yourselves, I will take care of the rest.

What do you do if we have an outdoor venue and it rains on our wedding day?

Most venues will offer you a rain plan with a backup indoor location. I easily adapt to any situation. My favorite wedding photos have a lot more to do with your personalities and your chemistry as a couple than the actual background you’re standing in front of. When you are happy and in love it shows in your photos. I can turn an obstacle, such as rain, into a fun and adventurous twist that will bring out laughter and spontaneity.

Do you need a list of photographs?

When you contact me about shooting your wedding, we will discuss your needs and desires. You can see a full gallery of wedding photographs on my website and tell me what you like. You will see that I am very thorough with my coverage, including photos of your dress, jewelry, shoes, flowers, food, reception décor among many more details. There is no need to give me a shot list. The only list I will ask for is your list of family group photos.

How many photographers will be at my wedding?

I usually have one extra photographer with me, alhtough I also work on my own. The second photographer is chosen from a short list of very talented people I am used to working with. He/ She is responsible for shooting the groom getting ready, everything relating to the decor, and provides a second angle of the ceremony and reception.

When will we see our photographs?

I take great care in making sure that all your edited photographs will look great for years to come. This means completion takes about 6 weeks. At that time, your online gallery will be made available for you and all your friends and family to see.

Do you offer albums? Why should I have one?

Yes I do. Only through the photographic album can images actually tell the story of that very special day of yours as it happened. Plus, there is something about an album that lends itself to a special kind of sharing through the years.
I offer the photography album as an extra, it is not included in my wedding package. I edit the images and coordinate the design with the help of a professional graphic designer. Through an electronic platform you are able to take part in the choice of photos, and follow the various stages as we design your album and finally produce it.

Will we get high resolution printable images?

Yes you will – I include high resolution digital files in all my packages. Practically speaking, the photographs are yours to do with what you want, but reference to the author, i.e me, is welcome. Files can be delivered via a web platform or by way of a usb stick that will be posted to your address.

Can you recommend any wedding Videographers?

Yes. Depending on your budget as well as your priorities I will send you a list of Greek videographers that I have successfully worked with in the past, with a link to their sites. Feel free to contact them directly, or ask for my advice.

How do we book you?

Use the contact tab to send me questions about pricing, products and availability. Once we have talked about your wedding, a deposit and a signed agreement are required to secure the date. Once we have agreed, we go through the program of the day together, decide what we want to capture your wedding day and how we want to do it. I am happy to share tips, advice and ideas that experience have given me. I book on a first-come, first-served basis at the most one year in advance, starting from November.
